Music - Elementary: Syllabus

Elementary Music Room Rules & Concerts
These are the classroom rules and guidelines that are presented to K-3 Music Students:

1. Walk into room quietly
2. Sit in assigned spot
3. Do not touch any instruments without Mrs. Bennett's permission
4. Be Respectful
5. Treat all music room items with care
6. Nothing in your mouth but your teeth and tounge
7. The No's (things that are not allowed...common sense...students are expected to conduct themselves as if they were in their regular classroom and according to school policy)
8. Use the correct voice type (singing or speaking)

MUSIC HELPER - this is a priviledge, and students names are drawn at random to do the following:
*call rows to line up
*puts stamp on chart
*pass out materials
*start music games
*certificate and prize when done & draw the name of next helper

MUSIC BINGO CHARTS - these are classroom behavior charts. Students earn stamps for their chart by doing the following:
*Good Class Behavior
*Good Listening
*Follow Directions
*Follow Music Room Rules

2 Magnets are used as a visual warning for the class. If both magnets are lost during a class time, no stamp will be given for that day.

When a MUSIC BINGO CHART is full, students have earned a Music Free Day, which may consist of the following:
*Movie/Gum Day
*Movie/Popcorn Day
*Movie/Candy Day
*Movie Day
*Music Game Day
*CD/Music Share Day

*K-6 Holiday Concert -
*Grades (4?)5-6 3rd Annual Music in our Schools Concert, March 18, 2014 @ 7:00pm W/ Guest Artist(s)-TBD
*Kindergarten Graduation - May 28, 2014 @ 6:30pm
